Cartoner Process Solution

Our cartoners combine individual products into sales-ready units – with automated erecting, filling and closing of high-quality packages that require an outer package for transport.

Suitable for:

  • Flat blanks
  • Erectable folding cartons
  • Single packaging
  • Display packaging

Process steps at a glance

Our machines are modular in design and cover all key functions of pharmaceutical packaging – from product handling to palletizing. Here you get a structured overview of the individual steps and how they interact within your machine.

1. Infeed: Product (vials)

The vials are fed into the cartoner in a single lane via a turntable.

2. Forming: Cartons

The flat blanks are stored in a magazine. The TLM-F3 robot picks up a blank and transfers it to the TLM-F2 robot. After the code check, the TLM-F2 robot passes the blank over the glue nozzles and presses it through a folding box. In this way, the cartoner erects the carton.

3. Forming: Insert

Another TLM-F2 robot takes the partition from the TLM-F3 robot, folds it at the designated point and glues it into the erected carton.

4. Loading: Product (Vials)

A camera at the infeed detects the vials and reads the data from the label. Using this information, the TLM-F4 robot picks up the products and groups them on the Transmodul. A TLM-F2 robot then loads the vials precisely into the cartons. In this way, the cartoner ensures safe and clean filling.

5. Loading: Leaflets

A TLM-F3 robot removes the package inserts from a magazine, checks the code and transfers them to the TLM-F2 robot. The TLM-F2 then places the inserts on top of the products inside the carton.

6. Closing: Carton

The TLM-F2 robot closes the carton and places it onto the outfeed conveyor. This completes the packaging process in the cartoner.

7. Outfeed: Carton

The closed and inspected carton is conveyed out of the cartoner via the outfeed belt.
