Schubert at PackExpo 2025 in Las Vegas

From September 29 to October 1, 2025, Schubert-Pharma will present its latest top-loading solution for secondary pharmaceutical packaging at the Healthcare Packaging Pavilion (North Hall, Booth N-5224).

Live on site, the cartoner will demonstrate how pharmaceutical vials can be processed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with GMP – with outputs of up to 600 vials per minute, flexible packaging formats (1-, 3-, 5- and 10-count) and a line-clearance concept for quick batch changes. Visitors will be able to experience the entire process: from erecting cartons, inserting partitions and leaflets, to loading and sealing.

Schubert at Automation UK 2024

Last year, Automation UK took place for the first time in Coventry, England. As a result of its resounding success, the trade fair for automation and robotics is now entering its second round – and will be taking place this year on 18 and 19 June. Schubert UK Ltd will, of course, be participating once again. Schubert’s UK sales location was not only an exhibitor last year, but it is also a co-founder of Automation UK. In the CBS Arena at Stand F10, the British team, led by Mark Stepney, will be providing information on the Germany-based company’s latest highly flexible, efficient, and resource-saving solutions for packaging products of all kinds and from all sectors. This year, visitors to the Schubert stand will have an opportunity to view a tog.519 cobot live and in action. At Automation UK, the mobile robot will be demonstrating how it can pick & place unsorted products at speeds of up to 90 cycles per minute using the AI-supported vision system.

Safe and cost-efficient packaging of pharmaceutical products

After introducing a new medication to the market, it is always a challenge for pharmaceutical manufacturers to calculate production capacities without incurring economic losses. With support from machine manufacturer Schubert-Pharma and packaging specialist Faller Packaging, manufacturers now have two strong partners whose solutions can help minimise investment risk: With the right packaging, biopharmaceuticals can be produced reliably, efficiently and in the highest quality throughout the entire product lifecycle – thanks to solutions ranging from manual packaging to fully automated top-loading lines.

Schubert-Pharma strengthens its position in the North American and European markets

Personnel changes at the specialist in packaging machines for pharmaceutical products. Schubert-Pharma is strengthening its market positioning in North America and Europe, and implementing personnel changes to this end. Johannes Schubert now heads up Schubert-Pharma’s Sales and Marketing divisions as Managing Director and is supported by Karin Kleinbach as the new Sales Manager.

Fast format changes thanks to customised tool solutions from Schubert

Manufacturers who process many product formats or who work for fast-moving industries need highly flexible packaging machines. Fast format changes and the capability to integrate new formats into the packaging process at low cost are absolutely essential here. But every company defines its specific requirements differently. With this in mind, Schubert offers each of its customers an optimally adapted mix of adjustable and exchangeable tools – with innovative solutions such as micromotors and new change levels.

The TLM machines with keen eyesight

How do the robots in Schubert’s fully automatic packaging machines know which product they are picking up and placing down, when, where and how? They can actually see. In TLM systems, image processing performs the function of the human eye. The team supporting Dr Abdelmalek Nasraoui, head of image processing development at Schubert, works every day with these vision systems to ensure that the robots have everything in view that is necessary for the efficient and high-quality packaging of products from almost any industry. Schubert is regarded as a pioneer in image processing in the packaging sector and continues to advance its in-house technologies.

From individual products to the pallet

At the Achema trade fair, Schubert-Pharma will be presenting a cross-section of its packaging solutions for the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry.

The five pillars of the Schubert service package

As part of its new service strategy, Schubert has divided its services into five key areas and supplemented its portfolio with different service packages. With this restructuring, the market leader in digital packaging machines is pursuing the goal of entirely avoiding downtimes and therefore unplanned service operations in the future. Marcel Kiessling, Managing Director of Sales, Service and Marketing at Gerhard Schubert GmbH, explains the new developments and describes his philosophy of a comprehensive customer-oriented package.
